Dr. Abdul Rashid Mohamed Ali (EdD)

Dr Abdul Rashid Mohamed Ali, a Singaporean by birth, is the current Executive Director and CEO of Pegasus International College which has operations in Vietnam, Malaysia and soon in Myanmar.

Pegasus International College offers Australian Qualifications from Certificate III to Advanced Diploma in Vietnam in Business, Hospitality and the Culinary Arts. Students holding the Advanced Diploma can articulate to the Final Year Degree at the Edinburgh Napier University in the UK.

PIC also offers Training in the ASEAN Common Curriculum for Hospitality Workers and has in its employment an ASEAN Master Trainer for such courses.

Dr. Rashid holds a Doctorate Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in International Marketing from the United Kingdom. He is also a Chartered Marketer and has worked in Singapore, Malaysia, China and Vietnam.

He has been teaching adult learners in Singapore since 1986 and is a much sought after speaker for Conferences and Seminars in Singapore and ASEAN.

In addition to his current role as Patron of Myanmar Society for Human Resource Management (MSHRM), Prof. Dr. Aung Tun Thet is an Advisor with the Union of Myanmar Federation of Commerce and Industries (UMFCCI), and Chairman of UN Global Impact (Local Network), Myanmar.

He is also a Governing Board Member of UNESO-India Mahatma Gandhi Institute for Peace, New Delhi,India.

Prof. Aung has a Bachelor of Commerce (Yangon) and a Post-graduate Diploma in Management Studies (Brighton), M.Sc. Operations Research from University of Warwick and a Ph.D. in Management Sciences from University of Manchester.  

He is recognised as a Post-doctoral Fellow from University of Marburg, and holds the title of Honorary Professor from University of British Columbia.
